Pregnancy yoga

BRAND NEW in-person pregnancy yoga classes.

Suitable from 16 weeks gestation to birth.  

A safe, nourishing space for wonderful parents to be. My friendly, relaxing classes will provide you with a 1-hour session per week, of breathing, relaxation, gentle yoga and bonding time between you & your bump as well as the opportunity to meet other pregnant parents-to-be.

Practising pregnancy yoga throughout your pregnancy is known to support as well as improve your stamina and flexibility. My yoga classes will give you tools you can use during labour and birth. You will meet like-minded parents to be as an added bonus. 

My pregnancy yoga classes will be taking place at Place Eight Wellness which is a beautiful, bespoke yoga and wellness studio. Parking is plenty and right outside so there is no need to travel far to enjoy your session.

The next term of classes is running from Thursday 8th September to Thursday 20th October 2022.

Let’s talk labour and birth online workshop 

Littlest Star’s Let’s talk labour and birth workshop is a 2-hour group session (or 1.5 hour 1:1 session). It is packed full of all the core information you need to know about labour and birth. It is not your ‘traditional’ antenatal session as it takes a holistic view of the whole labour and birth process. 

What’s included? 

We start with a brief introduction to our session, what to expect from the session and an ice breaker. 

We then have a 20-minute relaxation, calm stretching and pregnancy yoga session. We then move on to discuss the labour and birth process – from early labour all the way through to the golden hour. After each stage of the process, we have a group discussion and mini Q&A session. We then move on to discuss birth from a baby’s perspective. 

We then have a 10 minute guided relaxation at the end of the session.

Fourth-trimester online workshop 

Littlest star’s fourth-trimester well-being workshop is a 2-hour group session (or 1.5 hours on a 1:1). It is packed full of fourth-trimester goodness. 

What’s included? 

We start with a brief introduction to our session, what to expect from the session and an ice breaker. Then we have a 20-minute fourth trimester gentle exercise session. After this we move on to discuss topics such as what is the fourth trimester, what might I expect from the fourth trimester, physical health during this period, postnatal nutrition and wellness, emotional well-being, perinatal mental health and birth trauma. We go onto have a relaxed question and answer section (no question is too small). We finish our session with a 10-minute relaxation. 

After our session, you will be emailed A Parent Workbook including recipes, natural postnatal recovery remedies and gentle exercise.

Potty training the play way online workshop 

Littlest Star’s potty training the play way workshop is a 2 hour group session (or 1.5 hour   1:1 session). It is packed full of great information and ways to make potty training fun. There are obviously no guarantees with potty training and each situation is unique however with this workshop we aim to give you the fundamentals to support you and your little one to achieve this milestone. 

What’s included? 

We start with a brief introduction to our session, what to expect from the session and an ice breaker. 

We discuss our expectations of potty training, what potty training may have looked like when participants were children and then get fully stuck in. We discuss ways to empower you (the parent/ caregiver) to take a relaxed, gentle and responsive approach to potty training. We will look at physical, emotional and cognitive readiness. We will discuss theories and research into potty training. We explore different ways in which stories, play and fun with your little one(s) can support them to develop the skills they need to potty train. We look at ways in which to respond to regressions, refusals and accidents turning what may be seen as negatives into positive learning experiences. 

After our session, you will be emailed a potty training the play-way, parent’s workbook guide that you can review and use moving forward.
